Wower (Rosemarie Ballard), San Diego's Premier mime and mime teacher (nationally known), Thuy Nguyen Interactor and Grossmont Volunteer, Imozelle McVeigh Director of Vounteers at Grossmont Hospital, and Pokonose el payaso are shown in preparation for entertaining day care kids at Grossmont Hospital, during the Harris Fire, on October 26, 2007. There were 57 kids, and they loved the clowns, especially Wower. My dog, Thunder (Ooops! Forgive me) a 3.9 pound Maltese Therapy Dog, is pulling at my pants leg as I type this, to be sure that I do not forget to mention her!. Each kid was given two minutes to hold her. She licked all the faces, with responses varying from "Yuk - Ugh", to "It tickles". Then, Thuy Nguyen led Wower and Thunder and Pokonose el payaso through wards 4 East and 2 East to entertain and divert the patients. Wower and Pokonose developed a "Doctor, Doctor" act; Thunder tried to lick the face of the patients.
