National Clown Week August 1 to 7 2006 Calendar of Events

Uncle Rusty takes notes before marching with Dizzy Dave in the Heritage Parade through Lincoln Park. This parade is a neighborhood parade that has grown substantially, with everyone from cancer survivors to the mayor and Raven Simone of TV fame.

Uncle rusty and Dizzy Dave also went to the Swallows Day (St. Joseph's Day) Parade in San Juan Capistrano.

Grandma Huggs and Dizzy Dave entertained the walkers at the Walk for Recovery -- perhaps someone took some pics ;-)

St. Patrick's Day Parade

As most of you know, San Diego has its winter all in one day this year and it just happened to be on the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade, March 11, 2006. For most of you that were planning on attending the parade that Saturday morning, I'm sure you got up to get ready for the parade and looked out the window and realized that maybe this was not such a great day for a parade and jumped back into your warm bed. But as for the 4 crazy clowns in attendance, we just keep the windows closed and ignored the thunder ripping through the sky. Uncle Rusty, Buddy, Fluffy and Clowie decided to brave the weather that day. We were rather lucky during the line up, we were able to find each other, mingle with the crowds and find our position all with out many raindrops. Since this parade is not to long, we thought the rain would hold out for just a while longer. However right as we got up to the start of the parade, the rain decided to join us and with it came the HAIL. Now I have not lived in San Diego but four years and in that four years I have never seen hail. It hailed about half-way through the parade and the rain and wind gave the encore. We had a great time and the people were amazing to sit out in the bizarre weather and watch. We missed all of you that were planning on coming out, and envied you just a little as we walk through the puddles. Unfortunately we did not stay to entertain the crowds afterward, but we look forward to doing so next year.

Monthly Club Meeting -- June 4, 2006

Wower emcees a wonderful Talent Night after our monthly club meeting in June, with song, dance, and just about anything else a clutch of clowns can muster.
